About

About me

Bev England Walks and Adventures

I have always been passionate about encouraging women to explore the outdoors and gain confidence in nature. My journey began at the age of 13 when I walked the Snowdon Horseshoe and  crossed Crib Goch Ridge to Snowdon. By 15, I was already on an expedition to Arctic Norway, which ignited my love for challenge and adventure in the hills and mountains. I traded corporate heels for Walking Boots and have never looked back another adventures is always around the corner....

In July 2024 some friends and I had the pleasure of leading Claire Balding on a classic walk around Malham Cove in Yorkshire listen here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001bkrm

Di Mellor

I joined Bev's Wellbeing Walks for Women back in 2019 at a particularly challenging point in my life. From the beginning, she was warm, welcoming and encouraging. Bit by bit my confidence increased & I soon became a regular member of the group.

She's so much more than a Walking Guide. She's a Mentor, a Cheerleader and now, very much a friend.

No-one who meets her can fail to be charmed by her warmth, energy and zest for life. I've attempted challenges that I would never have had the confidence to tackle before. In short, she's been a big part of me becoming me again.

Thanks Bev!

Helen Ryan

I have been fortunate to hike with Bev as a group leader since 2019. She is a highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable about  hiking in the hills and mountains her understanding of the landscape is extensive and equally impressive are her social skills, I was made to feel very welcome and I have consistently seen Bev welcome others in the same way

Gillian Hesp

I have enjoyed being part of Bev's women's walking group for a number of years now. For me i love the challenges of the hills but also the feeling of being safe. Bev has expansive knowledge of the high peak area and shares information. Additionally we have been able to go as a group to adventures such as 3 Peaks in Yorkshire. And there are opportunities to go on walking holidays abroad.
The group is always friendly and welcoming🙏🙏🙏
